Fertiliser, Grain & Commodity Sheds

At PJN, we’ve spent more than 40 years designing and manufacturing sheds for Australian conditions.

We understand that a Fertiliser/Grain/Commodity shed isn’t simply a building. It’s a working asset that must withstand constant loader traffic, harsh chemical environments, and years of demanding use.

A quality Fertiliser/Grain/Commodity shed should incorporate:

✅ Heavy-duty concrete bunker walls.

✅ Corrosion-resistant coating systems.

✅ High-capacity guttering and drainage.

✅ Increased entry heights for tipping vehicles.

✅ Loader-friendly layouts.

✅ Structural designs that minimise bucket damage.

✅ Adequate ventilation and weather protection.

Fertiliser & Grain are some of the harshest products a steel structure can encounter. Moisture, dust, and chemical exposure can significantly reduce the lifespan of poorly designed buildings. That’s why the design details matter.

Every PJN project is modelled in full 3D before production begins, allowing clients to visualise exactly how their facility will function before steel is cut.

Most importantly, every PJN shed is 100% Australian made and manufactured by a team that understands agriculture because we live and work in regional Australia ourselves.

Ordering Process

1. Design

You work closely with PJN owner Daniel, to design your ideal shed.

2. Site Preparation

PJN will provide you with instructions as to what we require in a site to proceed with building, the main requirements being a clear, level site – with room to move a scissor lift around. Site preparation is the responsibility of the owner, however if required we put you in touch with experienced trades to get the job done.

3. Manufacture

Once you let us know that your site is ready, we will manufacture your shed kit. This is a quick process, with our extensive fabrication capabilities an average farm shed can be fabricated in our workshop within a week.

4. Delivery

Our experienced team will deliver your shed kit at the prearranged time. It is usually unloaded by the owner, but we are happy to unload for you, if required. We just request the use of a tractor/forklift.

5. Installation

All our sheds come with detailed installation guides for you to pass onto your installation team. We are also happy to help organise the complete installation of your shed, from footings to clean up of site after completion, however this can impact your delivery time as the trades we work with are in high demand.
